You’re Invited!

Come sip on some Fall libations and get your holiday shopping done! On Wednesday, November 3 come shop handmade pottery and fine jewelry from three makers from 5pm to 9pm at the home of Anne and John Barry. Their home is open to the public to shop an array of goods, and enjoy light refreshments and bites. This Charlotte home show brings together potters Hannah Barry and Carlisle Harris, and jeweler Mary Frances Maker. These three met in the mountains of North Carolina and in their journeys of building small businesses have become close friends. Learn more about their individual creative processes, and get a jump start on your holiday shopping!

About HB CLAY / Hannah Barry:

HB CLAY centers on the handmade processes of ceramic objects to restore moments for self-connection through intentional design. With inspiration from both the blue ridge mountains of North Carolina and the red sandstone cliffs of Zion Utah, her pots explore different colors and textures from the natural environments of her homes. HB Clay produces small-batch forms to preserve the inherent nature of this craft. As a one-lady operation, she creates simple and functional wares that are part of one’s every day life.

About Carlisle Ceramics / Carlisle Harris:

Taking heavy influence from the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, Carlisle uses earth tones and minimalist designs to create unique pieces that showcase the beauty of imperfection. Her ceramics are hand made, left with marks of the hand, with the intention of looking like they already have a history. Stimulating yet meditative, she makes art from emotion and experience. Every day inspires something new and is channeled into each individual piece.

Mary Frances Maker is a luxury accessories brand with a curiosity for the unique and a passion for storytelling. We're on a mission to build connections and create beautiful jewelry, accessories, and other pieces that tell your stories.We cast found objects from nature like turtle shells and birch bark found along the Appalachian as well as create pieces inspired by honeycombs and rosemary. We cast into brass, silver, and gold, using diamonds to further celebrate the natural world with a blend of timeless and experimental styles. We first create each jewelry piece by hand, adding a unique touch you won't find anywhere else.
